In the tester, the two ends of the nickel-plated metal copper plate are controlled at different temperatures. One end of the plate is heated and the other end is cooled, forming a linear temperature gradient along the metal plate. When the emulsion is directly coated on the metal plate, the water begins to evaporate, and due to the temperature difference, a narrow band is formed on the copper plate. When the temperature on the plate is higher than the temperature of the narrow band, the surface of the coating film is smooth and transparent, and the coating film has cracks below this temperature, which is MFT.
