is a general term for resins formed by polycondensation of amino-containing compounds with formaldehyde. If amino resin is used alone as a paint film, the paint film is too hard, brittle and has poor adhesion to the substrate. It can be used as a cross-linking agent for oil-modified alkyd resin, saturated polyester resin, acrylic resin, epoxy resin, epoxy ester, etc. Such matching, by heating can obtain a three-dimensional network structure of the strong toughness of the paint film, according to the use of amino resin and other matching resin changes, the resulting paint film also has its own characteristics.
The paint film with amino resin as cross-linking agent has excellent gloss, color retention, hardness, chemical resistance, water resistance and weather resistance, etc. Therefore, the paint with amino resin as cross-linking agent is widely used in industrial coatings such as automobiles, industrial and agricultural machinery, rigid furniture, household appliances and metal pre-coating. In the presence of acid catalysts, amino resins can be baked at bottom temperature or cured at room temperature, which can be used for reactive two-liquid wood coating and automotive repair coatings.
